THE ACCUSED Signs With SOUTHERN LORD RECORDS
April 14, 2009Seattle's reigning kings of "splatter rock" THE ACCUSED have signed a multi-album agreement with Southern Lord Records. The band will enter a Seattle studio next week with producer Billy Anderson (MR. BUNGLE, NEUROSIS) to begin recording its new album, "The Curse Of Martha Splatterhead", tentatively due in August on CD and LP.
"The Curse Of Martha Splatterhead" will contain a reported 14 new killer "splatter rock" tracks and will mark THE ACCUSED's first full-length studio album in four years.
THE ACCUSED will be making several live appearances in support of the new opus, including a freshly announced slot at this year's Supersonic festival, set to take place July 24-26 in Birmingham, England.
THE ACCUSED is working on details regarding a "top-secret project that — when it's finally made public — will forever change the face of mankind (maybe...); they say it's the biggest, craziest and most insanely kick-ass thing they've announced in their almost 30-year history."
THE ACCUSED's first album in over ten years, "Oh, Martha!" was recorded by Jack Endino at Scotty Crane's Soundhouse Studios in Seattle and was mastered by Scott Hull (PIG DESTROYER). The CD, which was originally issued in the U.S. in 2005, was released in Europe via Nuclear Blast Records.
